Kamal Ravikant

  • 5/5
  • Finished 2024
  • Self-development
  • Philosophy
  • Darkness is the absence of light, eg a dark room on a bright day, go to the window + start cleaning, soon enough, light enters naturally.
  • ONE as humans, we think we are thinking, but mostly we are remembering, reliving memories, we replay the loops + they trigger failings
    • You can create your own loops not triggered by these memories
  • TWO, Mediate
    1. music, ideally instrumental, soothing
    2. sit against a wall, window
    3. close eyes, imagine beam of light pouring into your head
    4. breathe in, say to yourself ‘I love myself’
    5. Breathe out, let out any thoughts, feelings, emotions
    6. Repeat

Music acts as anchor + reference point

  • THREE, mirror, 5mins looking at yourself, repeat ‘I love myself’
  • FOUR, 1 question - “If i loved myself truly + deeply, would I let myself experience this?’
  • Utilise rituals. Without rituals, we risk letting what should come first, come last.
  • 3 ways to look at life
    1. life happens to me. the place we normally live from.
    2. life happens for me. you look for the good that life is giving you, including the lessons
    3. life happens through me. you flow with life and don’t even have to look for the good because you’re experiencing it.
  • in a difficult situation or decision, instead of Pros+Cons+scenario planning, ask a question “What would the best CEO in the world do?”
  • if you want to see anyone’s philosophy, look at their life. We are all living our philosophy.
  • Observe a mans mind, and you have a birds eye view to his destiny.
